3. Biodata: Seema Ghani was born 1968 and raised in Afghanistan. She was the daughter of a high-ranking army officer and left during the communist regime in 1990. Because of problems that her family had they decided to emigrate to the UK. There she was educated as a IT-Consultant in London. She returned in 2002 and ran an orphanage called Khorasan, which means "land of the sun". She worked for the Ministry of Finance setting up budgets (2004) and ran a boutique hotel. Now she is a poet, management consultant, and runs her own childrens' charity.
Background: Seema Ghani is now Director of Baawar Consulting Group. Baawar was set up in 2008 in response to the growing need for support agencies in private sector development NGO, and line department of the Government that implement a wide range of projects and programs. Despite funding support and efforts at planning from donors, INGOs and Government , development outcomes are easy to achieve. Baawar specializes in providing support to implementers and donor agencies through a range of consulting, research, capacity building and turnkey implementation services. She is often beeing interviewed by British correspondents working for print media and BBC.
