Javid Ahmad Education:  Yale University, M.A. International Relations and National Security Studies (2014 - 2016); Vrije Universiteit Brussel B.A.Security Studies, EU Affairs (2009 - 2010);  Beloit College  Beloit College B.A. (Hons)International Relations, Economics (2008 - 2010);  Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania B.A. Public Administration, International Relations (2006 - 2008) While he was a student at Beloit, he held internships at the embassy of Afghanistan in Washington, D.C., researching human rights and writing analytical reports. While studying abroad, he also interned in Brussels, Belgium, for NATO.

He previously worked with a global risk management firm as a supervisory analyst and as a senior adviser to Afghanistan’s minister of finance through the World Bank, devising policies to counter money-laundering and terrorism financing. Previously, Javid worked on South Asia for the Pentagon’s Afghanistan-Pakistan Hands program and the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School. He also worked as a program coordinator for Asia for the German Marshall Fund of the United States, NATO HQ in Brussels, and the Voice of America in Washington.

Afghanistan's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates has said that the Afghan peace talks which have stalled in Qatar should rotate among several countries. Javid Ahmad also accused Qatar of not putting enough pressure on the Taliban to reduce the level of violence in the country.(20210315)
