3. Biodata:
Sayed Noorullah Jalali, son of Sayed Abdulrahman Jalili, was born 1974 in Rodat District, Nangahar Province. He is a Sayyed from Nangarhar province and graduated from Kabul Medical University.

Jalili went to a high-school located in Balkh named "Lesi Nowbahar-e-Balkh". He had the burden of supporting his family from a young age. Dr. Jalili lost his father at a young age and was put lots of pressure on to support a family of 7. During the Soviet Invasion of Afghanistan and the war against the Mujahideen, there was a lot of damage done and people went through a lot of misery, losing homes and family members. Out of now choice, Jalili had to move to Jalalabad and was in a financial crisis. Jalili had to work in order to make money to support his family.

He is the director of the Kabul-based road-construction company Amerifa. Amerifa Construction Company has generated revenue of up to $250 Million USD within few years of business in Afghanistan. They have received contracts of value up to 500 Million $ from the U.S. government. Both he and his company worked as contractors with the US military (according to diplomatic sources). He is the founder and owner of Amerifa Construction company, a company based in Afghanistan aiming to rehabilitate and reconstruct the infrastructure of Afghanistan. Amerifa has partnered with organizations such as US Army of Corps Engineers (USACE).
 

U.S.-led coalition troops killed 22 road construction workers with airstrikes in eastern Afghanistan because of mistaken intelligence reports. Engineers and laborers had been building a road for the U.S. military in mountainous Nuristan province, and were sleeping in two tents in the remote area when they were killed, said Sayed Noorullah Jalili, director of the Amerifa road construction company, based in Kabul, the capital. There were no survivors, he said.(20071128)


Jalali is a candidate of the Afghan presidential election and enrolled himself on Thursday Jan 10, 2019 with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) as a presidential nominee. (Madar-i-Watan team) Khalil Ruman and Dr. Cheragh Ali Cheragh are Jalili’s vice presidents in his electoral ticket.(2019011)

Khalil Ruman was an unseccessful Wolesi Jirga 2010 election candidate form Bagrami District, Kabul Province. Dr. Chergh Ali Cheragh was a medical advisor and the chief of Academic Affairs in the Ministry of Higher Education (2005). He was also a running mate in Presidential Election 2009 for Dr. Abdullah Abdullah.

Khalil Roman (Tajik) and communist-era official who served as former President Mohammad Najibullah’s chief of staff, nominee for the first vice president in Syed Noorullah Jalili’s Madar-i-Watan presidential election team has resigned. Roman in his resignation to Jalili wrote that due to health issues he was unable to continue work with the Madar-i-Watan team. Jalili confirmed the resignation of his deputy and said a new face would be soon introduced as nominee for first deputy.(20190808)

Sayed Noorullah Jalili (Pashto/Dari:سيد نور الله جليلي; born 30 January 1974) is an Afghan politician and businessman who was a candidate in the 2019 Afghan Presidential Elections and is the leader of the 'Motherland Political Party' in Afghanistan. He is the founder and CEO of Amerifa Construction Company. Jalili is a graduate of Kabul Medical University and has also worked in medical clinics as a teenager in the Nuristan province of Afghanistan, to support his household. 

 

Jalili is the son of Sayed Abdulrahman Jalili and was born a Pashtun in Rodat District, Nangarhar Province in 1974. At the age of 15, Jalili was responsible for supporting a family of seven upon the death of his father. In order to find work during the time of the soviet invasion, Jalili was forced to leave his fatherly home in Macroyan, Kabul and move to Jalalabad. While his father was alive, he attended Lesi Nowbahar-e-Balkh high school in Balkh and later on he graduated from Kabul Medical University. During the previous Islamic Emirate regime, Jalili worked in the Taliban Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

 

Jalili also spent time as a practicing doctor and a medical director for the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) from 1996 to 1997 in Parun district of Nuristan Province. After the US invasion in 2001, Jalili started working in the construction field. He started the Social and Health Care Development Organization (SDHCO) and then Amerifa Construction Company. The company has completed a large amount of projects for the construction and/or rehabilitation of roads, bridges, schools, clinics, air bases, administration buildings, and various others. Amerifa received contracts from the US Army of Corps Engineers (USACE), UNICEF, UNHCR, UNOPS, WFP, Kabul Telecommunications, Kabul Municipality, and many others. The company generated revenue of $500 million within few years of business. 

 

Jalili entered politics in the 2019 Afghan Presidential Elections. He was a controversial and prominent candidate in the elections. He held major campaign rallies in Herat, Nangarhar, Kabul, etc. 

Jalili has a wife and 4 children. He is fluent in Dari, Pashto, and English.
