Director of the Afghanistan Robotic House Institute in Herat:
Reza Rezayee (20170710)
Background:
Afghanistan Robotic House is a private training institute, practicing at the Better Idea Organization center, in Herat, Afghanistan. The competition is an initiative by First Global, a not-for-profit charity that holds an annual international robotics challenge in hopes of sparking a passion for science and technology among high school students around the world. It is an "Olympics"-style competition in which one team from every nation is invited to participate. It takes place from July 16-18 in Washington D.C. Six teenage girls from Herat, Afghanistan have been denied visas to travel to the US for an international robotics competition, but they will be permitted to send their ball-sorting contraption to compete without them.
