Provicial Council Uruzgan 8 Members 20090820 Elections:
Mohammad Aman Hotak Amanullah Hotaki was the PC Chief (20110114). He was replaced by Ibrahim Akhunzada Januar 2012. who accused his predecessor of misappropriating the council’s budget. Akhunzada escaped unhurt in a roadside bombing in Dehrawud District, Uruzgan province on 20121030.

Biographies of Uruzgan provincial council members
1- Amanullah Hotaki:
Amanullah Hotaki is the son of Malik Gulam Jan. He is born in 1981 at Nawabad village of Dihrawud district.He completed his primary education at his native district and later went to Zahir Shahi High School in Kandahar for further study. He completed his 12th class at Mula Ahmad High School in Dihrawud. Currently, he is student of Uruzgan pedagogical institute. Hotaki served as district officer of Dawlat Abad district of Balkh province for six months during the Taliban regime. During Karzai presidency, he remained member of Uruzgan national council and assistant of development council. Hotaki now heads Uruzgan provincial council.He speaks Pashto and Dari. He has no political affiliation.
2- Jan Mohammad Popal:
Son of Malak Adam Khan, Jan Mohammad Popal is born in 1975 at Loy Karez area of Chinarto district.He completed his high school education at Faiz Mohammad High School in his native district.He now serves as now assistant of provincial council. He has no political affiliation.
3- Alhaj Mohammadullah:
Alhaj Mohammadullah is the son of Abdul Azeem. He is born in 1974 in Charchino district.He could not get educated. He has no political affiliation.
4- Mrs. Marjan Kochi:
Daughter of Hakim Khan, Marjan Kochi is born in 1966 at Arjistan district of Ghazni province. She studied up to fourth class.
5- Alhaj Ibrahim Akonzada:
Son of Alhaj Mohammad Saeed Akonzada, Alhaj Ibrahim Akonzada is born in 1956 in Yatimak village of Dihrawud district.He is not educated. He is member of Jamiat-e-Islam party. He served as head of provincial council.
6- Jan Mohammad Karimi:
Jan Mohammad Karimi is the son of Alhaj Tal. He is born in 1977 in Dazak village of Dihrawud district.He studied up to twelfth class but has no political affiliation.
