Stanizai_EhsanEhsan Azari Stanizai was born in a village near the Afghan capital, Kabul in 1958. He graduated from Faculty of Civil Engineering, Kabul Polytechnic Institute in 1985. He never devoted himself to engineering. After obtaining a BSc in civil engineering, he began work as a writer and literary editor with The Kabul Times. During the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, he joined anti-communist resistance and then migrated to Pakistan in 1989, working as editor of WUFA-a literary and academic journal in Peshawar. In 1992, he migrated to Australia. After completion of a brief qualifying program, he was accepted in the MA program of School of English and Linguistics, Macquarie University, in Sydney. Dr Ehsan Azari Stanizai now is an Adjunct Fellow with the Writing and Society Research Group, University of Western Sydney (UWS) He is a Sydney based Afghan academic and writer. He is the author of 'Lacan and the Destiny of Literature: Shakespeare, Donne, Joyce and Ashbery, Continuum'. He specializes in Modern Literary theory, English Literature, and continental philosophy. He also writes on current international politics, especially Afghanistan and South Asia. (20100827) Dr. Stanizai launched five separate seminars at Mediothek in Kabul on series of topics such as structuralism, post-structuralism, post modernism, new psychoanalysis and music in Mawlana's poem on 15th June, 29th June, 13th July, 27th July and 10th august 2010 respectively. Mediothek was founded in Germany by exile Afghans and German experts of Afghanistan in 1993. Today's leader of the Mediothek is Ahmad Sultan Karimi.
