3. Biodata:
Hamid_sidiqHamid Sidiq Hamid Sediqi Hamid Sedig Hamid Sidig was born June 2, 1958) in Kabul, Afghanistan. He went to Primary School (Isteqlal 1963), to Nadiria High School (graduated 1971). 1972 Student of First year at the Faculty of Engineering of Kabul University in the same year.

Siddiq migrated to Germany, where he has lived for many years. He studied at Kabul and Munich University (1974-1978). He was awarded BA in engineering and also studied political science in (1980-1982).  He worked as a surveying engineer with the Germany Company Mendler (1975-1985). Later he migrated to California, USA (1986–1996). Thereafter in Rome, Italy, he was a secretary to former King Zahir Shah for some years. Apr 18, 2002 he accompanied Zahir Shah to Kabul. As the Head of Zahir Shah's office in Kabul he was involved in a fraud affair in the former afghan King's office. He allegedly took money from the King's budget and forged documents to claim ownership of some of the King's assets and plots.

After he was fired he pretended quite some time still to be Zaher Shah's secretary to illegally obtain ISAF Swap Passes.

He had no diplomatic posting abroad nor was he Ambassador before and not the Ambassador of the Afghanistan Mission in Oslo, Norway 2003–2005. Mohammad Yahya Maroofi was appointed as first Afghan ambassador to Norway by President Hamid Karzai in 2004. Officially accredited to the court of Norway on October 6th, 2004. Maroofi served as ambassador to Norway and non-resident envoy to Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland until 20070500.

It was rumored that In his function as a Director of Protocol of the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs under his responsibility VIP Access Cards for Kabul Airport were sold for 1.000 $ each.
However the government of Italy has decided to bestow on Hamid Siddiq, the Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan and President Hamid Karzai’s Office, the honorary title of “Grande Uffciale” of the order of the Star of Italian Solidarity, for his “outstanding performance”. This is a very prestigious recognition that was formally conferred to him at the Embassy of the Italy in Kabul on the 2nd of June 2007.

Hamid Sediqi, recently chief of protocol for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), has been appointed as the Afghan ambassador to Germany by President Hamid Karzai during a cabinet meeting on 20140825. Sediqi expressed his gratitude in acquiring 10 years (from 2004 to 2014) experience through his 167 foreign trips with President Hamid Karzai explaining that those opportunities will support him in his new role as the Afghan ambassador in Germany. Sidig presented his credentials to the German President 20140902.

 

Sidiq is married to Sachera Barekzai Barakzai and has three children, one died.

He is fluent in German, English and Dari.
