Sar-i-Pul provincial council members’ biographies

Sar-i-Pul province has nine council members with six of them are male while the rest three are women.
1-      Asadullah Khuram: (Speaker)
Son of Alhaj Rahim, AsadullahKhuram 42 is the speaker and head of Sar-i-Pul provincial council. He has semi-higher education qualification. He made his way to the membership of provincial council after grabbing a total of 7,150 votes.
Asadullah Khuram is among the prominent personalities of the province. He served as commander of Hizb-i-Wahdati-Islami Mardomi Afghanistan during the previous Jihad and he has his strong affiliation with the party.
2.     Mrs. Qabalah Saleema: (deputy speaker)
Daughter of Mustafa Qul, Saleemah 56 years is the resident of provincial capital.
She studied professional medical school in Kabul and then served in different hospitals of northern zone before she became provincial council member.
She won the last election of provincial council. Currently, she is assistant head “deputy speaker” of the council.
Saleema has no political affiliation.
3.      Mrs. Masomah Ramazani: Secretary
Masomah Ramazani is the daughter of Ghulam Nabi. Masomah 28 hails from Balkhab district.
She won the provincial council elections by achieving a total of 3,166 votes. She is also the secretary of internal administration of council as well.
She has no political affiliation. She served as teacher before becoming member of the provincial council.
4.      Mohammad Arif Sharifi:
Son of Mohammad Sharif, Mohammad Arif Sharifi 39 belongs to Gosfandi district.
He is graduated from Law and Political Science faculty, and currently serves as member of Sar-i-Pul provincial council.
Earlier, he served as district governor of Sozmah Qala district.He has no political affiliation with any political party.
5.      Maulvi Abdul Ghani:
Son of Alhaj Abdul Ghafoor, Maulvi Abdul Ghani 47 is the resident of SozmahQala district.
He has bachelor degree in Islamic Studies and English literature as well.
Currently, he is member of provincial council. Earlier, he served as teacher.He said he had no political affiliation with any political party.
6.      Alhaj Samardin:
AlhajSamardin 59 is the son of Din Mohammad. He belongs to the provincial capital city.
He made his way to provincial council by getting 4, 223 votes.
Samardin studied until 12th class and is widely known for his achievements in Jihad against Russia.
He did not have particular assignment before the membership of provincial council but he remained an active member of Jamiat-i-Islami wing during and after Jihad.
He still has affiliation with the Jamiat-i-Islami political wing.
7.      Alhaj Mohammad Musa:
Son of Abdur Rahman, Alhaj Mohammad Musa 52 is the resident of Kohistanat district.
He can read and write as he did not attend a proper educational institution.
Currently, he is member of provincial council. Earlier, he did not play any greater role but he headed his tribe.
8.      Mrs. Malika Alizadah:
Malika Alizadah 30 is the daughter of Ali Gohar. She hails from the provincial capital.
She won the provincial council by elections by achieving 1,270 votes. He studied up to 12thclass.
She served as teacher before becoming member of provincial council. She has strong affiliations with Hizb-i-WahdatiMardom Afghanistan.
9.      HayatullahAlami:
Son of SayedHassan, Haytullah Alami 40 has master degree qualification.
He grabbed 8,161 votes and won the provincial council elections.
Before becoming member of provincial council, he was executive director and in charge of library at Hazrat Yahya Shrine.
He has political affiliation with the Harakat-e-Islami party.
