Manzoor Stanikzai for a couple of years had served in a different job farther north, only to return to Kunduz, his hometown over the summer 2019. He was injured in a suicide bombing. 10 police officers including Kunduz police spokesman and traffic director of the city were killed and the Kunduz police chief Stanikzai was injured in the explosion.
