Mawlawi Din Mohammad Azami Deen Mohammad Azimi is a prominent member of the Jamiat-e-Islami party. Sources in Kabul confirmed that Taliban forces arrested Mawlawi Din Mohammad Azimi.(20220106) “On Monday, at 10 o’clock, we went to the general directorate of Security in Kabul province, they confirmed that Mawlawi Din-Mohammad Azimi was there,” said Gul Mohammad Azimi, Azimi’s nephew.(20220110)
 

Afghan Professor Faizullah Jalal who was in the Taliban’s detention for four days said, that he was well treated and did not feel as being in prison during his detention days. Faizullah Jalal said that most of the Taliban affiliates where he was detained were educated and he felt like being a guest.

Azimi is married and has some children. Marajuddin Azimi is a son.
