Doctor Mohammad Ali Sitigh Sidiq was born 1968 in Daikundi Province and is of the Hazara tribe. He is a representative of the Hazara people from Daikondi Province. However, lawmaker Mohammad Ali Sitigh said the two women nominees who were rejected were well-qualified. "Unfortunately we have some lawmakers who, even if they see a woman who is very active, talented and well-educated, still can't vote for a woman," Sitigh said after Wolesi Jirga rejected two proposed female nominated Cabinet Members in January 2010. He was a member of the Health committee in Wolesi Jirga 2005 and is a member of the Wahdat party.
