Lt Gen Mohammad Abdul Rajab  Gen Mohammad Abdul Rajab took over responsibility for the tunnel in 2001, following the fall of the Taliban. Salang Highway maintenance chief Gen. Abdul Rajab was slightly injured when he was buried along with seven subordinates under a snow avalanche that hit the highway.(20130227)
