Dr. Parween Nuristani, daughter of Abdul Qader, was born in 1975 in the Waygal district of Nuristan province. In 1990, Nuristani graduated from Abu Ul Qasem Ferdosi High School in Kabul. She received her bachelor’s degree in Medicine from Kabul Medical University in 2010. From 2002 to 2008 she studied at the Kabul Medical University, at the same time working with the Department of Women’s Affairs in Nuristan. Upon graduating, she worked in various Nuristani hospitals for two years before campaigning for parliament.

Parwin Nuristani, 42, was killed in the accident which happened near Darunta Tunnel in the provincial capital city, Jalalabad.(20170731)
