3. Biodata:
Alhaj Safiullah Muslim, son of Mawlawi Hamidullah Muslim, was born in 1976 in the Argo district of Badakhshan province.  Muslim was homeschooled in religious and Islamic studies, and then completed his secondary education at Kokcha High School, Argo district. He is now studying toward a degree in economics at university in Kabul. Due to a lack of educational opportunities and civil war, Muslim did not pursue higher education, instead deciding to go into business. He became the director of a goods import/export company. For over 15 years, he has run several successful businesses in the import/export and construction sectors. He is currently the director of the Hamid Muslim Company.

Alhaj Safiullah Muslim is close to Mohaqiq. He is a founding member of Mohaqiq's party.

In the 2010 election, Muslim came third in Badakhshan province, gaining most of his votes from his home district of Argo.Commission (2012): Natural Resources and the Environment

He is married with five sons and four daughters.

He speaks Dari, Turkish and Uzbek.
