"The Hub" is established by a young entrepreneur Shakib Mohsanyar to support startups, entrepreneurs and individual consultants by providing them the required services for a functional office space.
Established in February 2017, the Hub’s primary goal is to support the new established businesses as well as startups to reduce their operation costs; and in addition, enhance the culture of collaboration and promote co-working services in Afghanistan.
“The Hub serves as a platform with excellent infrastructure and extensive network of likeminded entrepreneurs, startups, consultants and freelancers,” said Mohsanyar.
Some of the amenities offered by the Hub are printing and scanning services, internet, projector and TV, promotional opportunities, conference room, mail service and high speed internet.
"The Hub" is a corporate co-working space and community, located in central part of Kabul city with a full-fledged shared co-working and co-office space that individuals and organizations can rent at affordable prices with every facility necessary for a functioning work space. The Kabul Business Innovation Hub was officially launched 20160822 in a ceremony held at the International Center for Women’s Economic Development on the campus of the American University of Afghanistan. The purpose of the Hub is to accelerate the success of companies that have demonstrated business acumen and promise. “We are much more than an incubator,” said Hub Director, Destageer Haidari. “We require participating organizations to have a good track record and to meet high standards of planning and accountability.”
Invited speakers at the event included the Minister of Commerce and Industry, the President of the American University of Afghanistan, the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Afghanistan, the Senior Commercial Officer at the U.S. Embassy, and the head of the Task Force for Stability and Business Operations. “One of our most esteemed small businesses, Atlas Edge, is a Hub participant,” said Dr. Elspeth Smith, Executive Director of the AmCham/Af. “I can’t imagine a more creative, promising company to take part in this venture.”Initially funded by TFBSO, the Hub hopes to attain sustainability through a fee-for-service scheme. The Hub is located in the International Women’s Center at AUAF.
