3. Biodata:
Abdul Razaq Vahidi Wahidi, was born 08 Jun 1976 in a religious family in Kabul city. He lived in Kabul until he was 6 and then he immigrated to Iran with his family. He finished primary, secondary and high school successfully in Esfahan- Iran. He won the bronze medal of mathematic Olympiad of Iran, when he was in high school, but due to Afghan citizenship, he could not take part in International Olympiads. In 1995, he entered in Esfahan University via General examination (entrance exam for university) like other immigrants and based on his own interest he chose mathematic field. He was in Esfahan until he got both his B.A and M.A degrees from there. When he was studying for his B.A, he got the better grade twice in country competitions. He got the first position in MA period. He also started to teach in Esfahan University and other private universities.

Within the falling of Taliban regime and engendering democracy in 1381, he returned to the country and based on the commitment that he had for his motherland, started to teach mathematic in Kabul University. Teaching is an important factor of his life. In 1382-1384 as a member of Kunkor Committee with other expert teachers established computerized system of Kunkor.Wahidi was born in 1976 in Kabul. When he was six years old, the family emigrated to Iran. There, he studied math, finishing his studies with an MA degree from Isfahan University. In 2002, Wahidi returned to Afghanistan and started teaching mathematics at Kabul University.  From 2003 till 2005, he served as a member of the Kankur Committee of the Higher Education Ministry, overseeing the university entry exams. In 2006, he was hired as General Administrative Director for the Ministry of Finance where, in 2011, he was appointed Deputy Minister for Administration. Abdul Razaq Wahidi has been picked as Minister of Information and Telecommunication. (20150321)

He was confirmed as Minister by Wolesi Jirga. (20150418) Abdul Raziq Wahidi is a close aide to second deputy CEO Mohammad Mohaqiq.

Minister Abdul Razaq Wahidi received only 49 votes of confidence against 147 votes of no confidence and was unanimously dismissed from his post.(20161115)

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdul Razaq Wahidi has been suspended until the investigation committee concludes its work. The Minister was involved in a major corruption scandal.(20170102)

Afghanistan's attorney-general has cleared former minister for telecommunications and information technology of suspicions of corruption. Wahidi was not responsible and was not involved in claims of corruption in the ministry.(20170810)
 

Former minister of telecommunication and information technology Abdul Razaq Wahidi reacted at a statement of Murtazwi, Deputy Speaker of the President. In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Wahidi expressed hopes that the government would act without discrimination. Wahidi was dismissed as the minister of telecommunication and information technology nearly two years ago on charges of involvement in corruption.(20180702)
 

The Attorney General’s Office in a statement said Vahidi was found guilty of misuse of authority by preliminary court of counter corruption tribunal which was organized in his absence on 22nd of January 2019 and was subsequently awarded a three-year jail term. The statement further added that Vahidi was finally arrested today (Monday, 8th of April 2019) and has been sent to jail. According to Attorney General’s Office, Vahidi was also indicted on charges of misuse of authority by preliminary court of Major Crimes Task Force during a hearing which was organized on 4th of April in which he was awarded a penalty of 12 thousand Afghanis.(20190408)
 

Wahidi stresses that the accusation is a political case against him made by the government while someone else is the real accused person.

“I think that the hostility between me and Eklil Hakimi [former Minister of Finance] is the reason behind the case and there is no evidence in this regard,” said Wahidi. The appeals court for Wahidi lasted two days at the end of which the court chairman announced him guiltless.

This comes as Wahidi was also exculpated in the past after he was accused of committing corruption related to the real-time system during his tenure as the Minister of Communication and Information Technology.(20190721)
