|History and Biodata
Amanullah Mojadidi was born to Afghan parents in 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Since 2003 he is living as an Artist in Kabul. He works on themes of bling, jihad, hypocrisy & the lives of everyday Afghani people. His work has been censored by the Kabul authorities he mocks, his comparison to the ‘gangster’ lifestyles of the US and these lifestyles is simple: “They ‘wear’ the jihad in the same way that a gangster wears a flashy accessory”.
He created the darkly hilarious "Jihadi Gangster" showing a presumed terrorist -- sans leg -- with a half-naked woman, some booze and a remote control. (Guys always hog the remote, don't they?)
He is speaking Dari and English.
