Ayoob M. Erfani was born 14. Apr. 1962 in Faryab Province. He studied at Kabul University 1981. He was awarded M.A. political science from Moscow State Institute for political Relations where he studied from 1982-1988.
He speaks English, Arabic, Turkish, Dari, Uzbek and Pashtu.
Erfani is married and has four children.
