3. Biodata:
Haji Abdul Hamid Aimaq, son of Haji Abdul Momin, was born in the village of Gul Tapa of Kunduz province in 1950. He studied in the village school of Gul Tapa and continued his education through the ninth grade. In 1974, he joined the military service. In 1981, Aimaq was appointed director of the local cooperative. During his tenure, he worked towards ensuring that a peaceful environment existed among people. Aimaq traveled to Saudi Arabia in 1986 for the purpose of Haj. He also traveled to Pakistan in 2005 for medical care. In 1988 and 1989, he visited Tajikistan on tourism and business. Aimaq participated in the Constitutional Loya Jirga as a representative. In 2005, Aimaq was indirectly elected to the Meshrano Jirga after winning by an absolute majority in the 2005 Kunduz Provincial Council elections. He is married and has twelve children.
