3. Biodata:
Haji Muhammad Ismail, son of Haji Abdul Shokur, was born in 1954 in the Mangajak
district, Jowzjan province. Ismail studied up to seventh class in the Mangajak School in Jowzjan, which he completed in 1975, and continued his education up to ninth class in Pakistan in 1984.His father owned an import/export company. During the war he immigrated to Pakistan.

Ismail is a businessman and landowner involved in agricultural activities. He is the deputy chair of the Aaqcha Business Company and also owns an import-export business. Ismail is a tribal elder of the Mangajak district of Jowzjan province.

Ismail was a member of the Hezb-e-Harakat Inqelab Islami during the jihad. He was a member of the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.

He is married and has seven sons and two daughters.

He speaks Turkmen.
