3. Biodata: After receiving her bachelor’s degree, Ahmadi worked as a teacher at Spen Adi School in Kabul from 1981-1990. She then joined Zargona High School in Kabul from 1990-1993. For the three years following, she taught Agriculture at Balkh University until the Taliban regime forced women to stay at home. She resumed her position in 2002 and stayed for a further two years before becoming a teacher at the Technical Institute in Balkh in 2004. She resigned from this post to run in the 2005 parliamentary election. She was working as a Professor at the University of Balkh in Mazar-i-Sharif (Balkh Province) and is close to Dostum.
Ahmadi was elected to parliament in 2005 with 7,636 votes. She served on the Oversight
Commission (2012): National Economy, NGOs, Rural Development and Agriculture
She is married and has 4 children. Ahmadi speaks Uzbek, Dari, Pashto and English. |

Ustad Shukria Paikan Ahmadi daughter of Mahmood Khan is a Sunni Uzbek and was born 1969 in Kunduz Province. Ahmadi finished her primary and secondary education at Mariam High School in Kabul province in 1984. She received her bachelor’s degree in Planning and Economics from the Agricultural University of Kabul in 1989.
