Afghan-Turk high school Herat Head: Following the reopening of girls’ schools in western Herat province this week, Afghan-Turkish high school’s girls students displayed their one-year achievements during an exhibition. The girls said in the past one year they were working on developing robots, doing research on chemical material and developing mobile games. According to them, their achievements included robots of various kinds, chemical and scientific research, and the mobile applications. The girls said they can make good achievements if they are provided with the proper opportunities. “We show the word that Afghanistan can also make progress,” said Haniyah Kamal, a student. In the meantime, those girls who displayed their achievements in this exhibition expressed their hope that in the future they will be able to have more achievements in the field of knowledge and research. Mohammad Arif Irfan, head of the Afghan-Turk high school in Herat said that girls students at the school are working on various projects. “We displayed 100 projects, these projects are in the robotic development and other areas such as physics and games,” Irfan said. After the fall of the former government, girls’ schools in Herat from grades 7 to 12 were closed for more than two months, but all of them reopened on Monday. Meanwhile, in most provinces of the country, secondary and high schools are still closed for the girls’ students.(20220326)
