3. Biodata:
Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansour Amanuddin Mansur was born in the Badakhshan province, northern Afghanistan, to an ethnic Tajik family. Mawlawi Amanuddin Mansoor, a seasoned member of the former Quetta Shura Taliban, assumed the role of Governor of Helmand province in mid-October 2025.
Previously, he served as Commander of the 217 Omari Military Corps in Kunduz province, a formation formerly known as the 217 Pamir Military Corps under the previous Afghan government. Before these roles, he served as the Governor of Badakhshan province from October 2022 to June 2023 and earlier as Commander of the Air Force General Command in Kabul province.
In the months following the Taliban’s takeover, he also held the position of Deputy Commander of the 209 Al-Fatah Military Corps in Mazar-e-Sharif, Balkh province. |
