3. Biodata:
Dr. Farooq Azam Dr. Sahib Farooq Azam Dr Ghulam Farouq Azam was born on 1943 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He went to a mosque school before enrolling in a state-run school. In addition to receiving contemporary education, he went to Al Azher University in Egypt for higher religious studies. He is a graduate of Kabul University Faculty of Economics and holds a Master of Agriculture degree from American University in Beirut. He received his PhD in water resources from the University of London. He was an advisor to the Ministry of Water and Energy before immigrating to Pakistan after the Soviet invasion.
