Ghulam Farooq Farahi, son of Haji. Abdul Qudos, was born in 1965 in the village of Dahzak in Balabulok district of Farah province. He completed Highschool. Farahi is a former Police Colonel. He has travelexperience with Pakistan and Iran and speaks Dari and Pashtu. He bagged third most votes in Provincial Council Eletions 2005 in Farah Province (6.494 6.11%)

He is married and has eight children.
