3.Biodata:
Mawlawi Erfanullah Erfan Erfanullah Irfan Irfan Ullah Irfan Arfanullah Arfan Irfanullah Irfan s/o Mollah Sabhanullah was born in 1970 in Farzah district, Kabul province. Erfan finished twelfth class in 1990 at a private Islamic madrasa. He then enrolled at the Dawat Jahad University in Pakistan in 1990 and studied Islamic Fiqh (jurisprudence) and Law, graduating in 1994. Bachelor in islamic education.

Mawlawi Erfanullah Erfan was a member of the parliamentary commission on countering narcotics, intoxicating beverages and moral corruption. He hails from Farza and has no affiliation to a particular party, but is a conservative and member of the Committee on the Fight against Drugs and Moral Corruption. In this capacity he has supported moves to ban public dancing, the consumption of alcohol, and Indian soap operas from being broadcast on private TV networks, which he criticised as “foreign to the Afghan mentality and culture”.

He worked as Islamic studies professor in Kabul medical university and as a teacher at Ghazali School in Pahiwor.
 

Erfan is a religious conservative and has been outspoken in Wolesi Jirga in supporting bans on public dancing, the consumption of alcohol and Indian soap operas.
