danish_sarwarMohammad Sarwar Danish Sarwar Danesh (Daikundi), son of Mohammad Ali, was born in a religious family in 1961 in the Ishtarlay District, Daikundi Province. He completed his primary education in Afghanistan and completed his higher education in Iraq, Syria and Iran. He has earned a Bachelors Degree in Law, a Certificate in journalism, a Bachelors Degree in Islamic Culture and Education, a Masters Degree in Islamic Fiqh and is working on a PhD (in progress) in the same field. Fifteen different books have comprised the result of the academic work of Mr. Danish, some 700 hundred of his essays have also been published. From 1982 until 2001, he had been the in charge of different publications. He was a member and active participant in the Emergency Loya Jirga of 2002, a member of the Constitutional Drafting Commission through a decree by President Karzai, a participant in the Constitutional Loya Jirga. When Daikundi was announced as a province, he was appointed as the first Governor. He is supported bei Hesb-e-Wahdat and Vicepresident Karim Khalili.

President Hamid Karzai on 20120514 nominated two members of the Supreme Court's High Council for a vote of confidence from the lower house of parliament. Former minister of justice, Mohammad Sarwar Danish, and Supreme Court's judicial officer Abdul Malik Kamavi have been named for the slots. Currently lawmakers are vetting the nominees’ documents for later appearence beefore Wolesi Jirga for a vote of confidence. Three members of the Supreme Court council completed their terms a year ago (2011), with the Wolesi Jirga repeatedly asking the president to introduce his picks for the judicial positions.(20120515)

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Hamayun Azizi, on 20120530 introduced former Afghan Minister of Justice Mohammad Sarwar Danish and administrator of Supreme Court, Dr Abdul Malik Kamowi, as members of the Supreme Court. Wolesi Jirga  refused to give Danish a vote of trust. Twice introduced to parliament as minister of justice and higher education, Danish failed to win a vote of confidence from legislators. Each pick needed 105 votes from the 209 MPs present. Danish could muster the support of 82 members, while 102 votes against him. Fourteen ballots were found invalid.(20120602)

Sarwar Danesh, a former vice president of Afghanistan, has announced the formation of the “Afghanistan Justice and Liberty” party aka Afghanistan Justice and Freedom party. The newly formed political party sees “fighting the Taliban and building a federal republic in Afghanistan” as its two main goals. This party also counts Rasool Talib as a member who was a senior advisor to the former Afghan president in public and social affairs.(20221023)

Currently he has been living in Auckland, Newzealand.theNew Zealand’s decision to resettle the former vice-president of Afghanistan and 13 family members has sparked controversy, with some asking why hundreds of Afghans who helped New Zealand forces or were associated with them remain trapped abroad and in fear for their lives. Sarwar Danish had already escaped to Turkey before recently arriving in New Zealand, where he lives.(20220113)
