3. Biodata:
Born 1986 in Qarabagh District, Kabul Province, Afghanistan and raised in Kabul, Haseeb Humayoon studied in Afghanistan and a few of his high school years in Pakistan's Peshawar city. In 2004, Haseeb received a scholarship to study in the United States, where he graduated from Middlebury College with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. (20081004) He has also studied U.S. Foreign Policy at the American University in Washington D.C. Haseeb Humayoon is a Research Analyst at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). .
 

Haseeb Humayoon is a founding member of Afghanistan 1400 political movement and a Senior Partner at QARA Group, a Kabul-based business consortium  established in 2010. QARA works in market development consulting, public affairs research and advisory as well as consumer finance. Since 2011, Haseeb also sits on the Board of Directors of the Afghanistan Center at Kabul University (ACKU).

Before working with QARA (stablished in 2010, QARA Consulting, LLC.) he worked briefly with the government of Afghanistan, and on Afghanistan and regional affairs with the Washington based Institute for the Study of War and the Middle East Institute. At QARA, Haseeb has directed several assignments for a diverse set of clients in the public, not-for-profit and private sectors in 22 of Afghanistan’s 34 provinces.


Humayoon has published opinion and analytic pieces in the New York Times and appeared as commentator on issues related to Afghanistan and Pakistan on channels such as Al Jazeera English, the National Public Radio, Tolo TV, and Voice of America. He conducts frequent briefings for journalists and Congressional staff in Washington, DC .

Humayoon speaks Pashto, Dari, English and Urdu and has basic knowledge of Spanish.
