The Afghan Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Thursday, Apr 27, 2017 announced that General Mohmand Katawazai, the former of commander of 209 Shaheen Army Corps in Balkh, will be prosecuted for alleged negligence following the Taliban attack on the base on Apr 21, 2017.
Major General Mohmand Katawazi, and the executive commander of the base were each sentenced to one year suspended sentence.(20170612)
