Bamyan Civil Society Institutions:
1 – Afghanistan Women and Children Cooperation Program (AWCP):
The association strives to enhance economic capacities of youth, children and women in central Bamyan province. AWCP is non-government and non-profit organization, which was established in 2002.
Its main branch is located in capital city of Bamyan with local branches in districts of the province. The organization serves in various fields such as education, rural development and public health. Hasan Alimi is communication in charge of AWCP.

2 – Alghochak social and cultural Organization:
The organization was established by Zainab Rezayee with financial support from United States Agency for International Development under local governance program in 2010. The organization is registered with the ministry of justice and is coordinating activities among women organizations. The institution strives to boost economic capacities of women and provide long-term training courses.

3 – Human Rights and Civil Society Network:
As a non-government organization, the network was established in central Bamyan province in 2004. The institution strives to building capacities and is active in the province since 2009. It has provided more than 50 workshops in both Bamyan and Daikundi provinces. Ismail Zaki is its coordinator.

4 – Arezo Organization:
The organization is donated by a number of American women and was established in 2006. It strives to strengthen the educational capacities of women and families. The organization aimed to assist carpet weaver women, eliminate poverty, facilitate educational and health services to families and easing professional educational opportunities. It also set up a cloth washing centre, provide literacy training courses and formed a garden for women in Azhdar valley. Ali Rezayee is in charge of the organization and its main branch is Bamyan city.

5 – Cultural and Social Organization of Bamika Women:
The organization was set up by Halima Rezayee in central Bamyan province in 2009. It is active in political, social and capacity building of women. The organization is responsible to providing educational campaigns and handicrafts exhibition in villages.

6 – Bamyan Journalist’s Association:
The organization was set up by a number of journalists in central Bamyan province in 2003. It strives to protect rights of journalists with special reference who laid down their lives in this way and capacity building among media outlets. Head of this organization being elected through free and fair ballot and has four financial, administrative, cultural and communication committees. Presently, Ghafari heads the organization, who also led the organization for the past three terms.
