3. Biodata:
Mrs. Laila Ihrari "Aharari" was born 1970 in Herat City where she completet her High School Education  in Mahr-e-Herawi High School. She is a Tajik from Herat where she is head of the IEC Public Awareness Department. She has a Masters degree in Pharmacy from Kabul University. Ihrari said she had been studying political sciences at Kabul University, but left incomplete her studies in the third semester due to some problems. Later she served as head of medical faculty of Kabul University and worked with UNICEF. She was member of the Consultative Loya Jirga from Herat. She served at the IEC for capacity building and creating awareness about elections.

Ahrani hails from a Jamiati family that has a rivalry with Ismail Khan and has been in alliance with the Karzai camp.
