Afghan Special Operations Unit Khasa Amalyati Qeta  Qeta-e-Khas-e-Amalyati ASOU KAQ QKA is comprised of Afghan National Army, National Police and National Directorate of Security NDS personnel. It leads special operations with support from U.S, Forces. Cooperation of  ASOU with U.S. Forces was sealed in a MoU dated April 8th, 2012.

ASOU soldiers undergo intensive training over several months at an undisclosed base in Afghanistan, where they are trained in combat, communications, marksmanship and medicine, from many of the same instructors that teach American special operations forces.
