Background Afghan Anti-Corruption Network (AACN): AACN is a social, non profit, non partisan, non political and non governmental network of civil society organizations and individuals committed to aligning their operations and strategies with national and universally accepted principles in the areas of anti-corruption, transparency and accountability, human rights and rule of law. The network and members fight against corruption, brings people together in a powerful countrywide union to end the overwhelming impact of corruption on all Afghan citizens without any discrimination. AACN is a fast growing and leading network of 72 traditional and modern civil society organizations around Afghanistan. AACN coordinate among relevant players from civil society, business, religious actors and the media to promote transparency and accountability in all related aspect of life. AACN is coordinating and networking among civil society building capacity of the civil society, conduct researches, surveys and publications. AACN use advocacy campaigns to lobby government and other relevant organizations to implement anti-corruption reforms. ACCN mission is to build an Afghanistan free of corruption. It has commitment, experience, skills, expertise and broad participation of Afghan citizens to fight corruption in Afghanistan, as well as intentional partners. The AACN is open to all transparent and committed individuals and civil society organizations in Afghanistan. The member organizations and individuals also take part in AACN activities. The main counterparts of the AACN are the national civil society organizations and independent anti-corruption organizations, private sectors and international organizations fighting corruption. |
