Mrs. Nabila Barmaki is the chairperson of the board of directors. She is currently working as a Geographical Indication expert with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (UN-FAO). She has previously worked on privet sector development, women's rights, capacity building, labor law, and social development at PriSEC, MOWA Legislative Revision Committee, and Harakat-Afghanistan Investment Climate Program, Traditional Justice CSO Support component of the ADALAT project at Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc. USAID, International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and Hafizi Legal Services/Rosenstock Legal Services.  
Her professional academic background is in law and community development. Barmaki represented Afghanistan in international rounds of Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong and then selected to coach Kardan University Vis team. Mushtaq Muhammad Rahim is a member of the board of directors. He holds a significant experience of working in the development sector with national and Int. organizations in the post-conflict settings with the main focusing on security sector reforms, conflict resolution, and peacebuilding. Rahim was associated with UNDP for nearly a decade as a programming expert. He also worked for CARE International in Afghanistan in different capacities mainly focusing on program development, monitoring and evaluation, and program quality management. Besides, he worked as part of the Afghan High Peace Council as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
His academic background is in business administration and Conflict resolution, Peace and Security, and Development Programming, (Master of Business Administration and Master of Arts in Conflict Peace and Security). He has spent more than 15 years of his career focusing on community development, security sector reforms, peacebuilding, and conflict resolution. Mr. Rahim is also a renowned political analyst and writer offering his views on national and international media platforms. He has also been engaged in research activities with published work on police reforms, peace and reconciliation, and institutional integrity.


Danish Karokhel is a member of the board of directors and the founding director of Pajhwok Afghan News agency and senior journalist and author. His career as a journalist has been beginning since 1997. Karokhel has been responsible for 15 years for the agency’s vision and direction. Under his successful leadership, it daily produces standard and high-quality news stories, photos, and multimedia in three languages, Pashto, Dari, and English for customers in Afghanistan and international media and strongly committed to promoting human rights, holding government officials and elites accountable to the Afghan people.
Karokhel is the author of four books titled “Professional Journalism”, “Access to information” and “Human Trafficking” in Pashto and authored a remarkably informative book on the state of journalism in Afghanistan titled “Guide for Journalists” in Dari. He is also a member of several regional leadership conferences and a regular public speaker on behalf of the Afghan media. Moreover, Karokhel is the winner of the International Press Freedom Award, (2008, CPJ), Press Freedom Whiting award (2012, SAFMA) and in 2014 he has been included in the first-ever list of 100 information heroes by Reporters without Borders.
His academic background is in journalism; investigate, collect, and present information to public to hold government officials and agencies accountable for justice and transparency. 



Background:
Afghan Anti-Corruption Network
was established in 2011 based on consultation and recommendation of civil society of Afghanistan and the aim of establishing of this network is to support transparency and empower the civil society in order to fight against corruption.

AACN is a social, non profit, non partisan, non political and non governmental network of civil society organizations and individuals committed to aligning their operations and strategies with national and universally accepted principles in the areas of anti-corruption, transparency and accountability, human rights and rule of law.

The network and members fight against corruption, brings people together in a powerful countrywide union to end the overwhelming impact of corruption on all Afghan citizens without any discrimination.

AACN is a fast growing and leading network of 72 traditional and modern civil society organizations around Afghanistan. AACN coordinate among relevant players from civil society, business, religious actors and the media to promote transparency and accountability in all related aspect of life.
AACN is coordinating and networking among civil society building capacity of the civil society, conduct researches, surveys and publications. AACN use advocacy campaigns to lobby government and other relevant organizations to implement anti-corruption reforms.

ACCN mission is to build an Afghanistan free of corruption. It has commitment, experience, skills, expertise and broad participation of Afghan citizens to fight corruption in Afghanistan, as well as intentional partners.

The AACN is open to all transparent and committed individuals and civil society organizations in Afghanistan. The member organizations and individuals also take part in AACN activities. The main counterparts of the AACN are the national civil society organizations and independent anti-corruption organizations, private sectors and international organizations fighting corruption.

Afghanistan Anti-corruption Network, previously Fair Law Organization for Women (FLOW) is a not-for-profit, non-political, anti-corruption organization, registered with the NGOs department, Ministry of Economy, Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. 

FLOW has been active in Afghanistan for the last 10 years. It has worked in various capacities, however, now, the General Assembly of the organization has decided collectively to focus its activities on integrity, transparency, and anti-corruption. 

We have the opportunity of being a member of the Open Government Partnership Afghanistan (OGPA). As the OGP member, we have the responsibility to monitor the National Action Plan 2 developed by the government of Afghanistan. There are 18 milestones set for 16 government entities to achieve within two years 2020 to 2021. We have been closely working with the Attorney General Office, the Supreme Court, and the Ministry of Interior for seeing whether they are going on the right direction.(20200925)
