3. Biodata:
Azad is a Pashtun from Chahar Borak, Nimroz Province. He is a medical Doktor and received his degree from Kabul University in the early 70s. In 2008, Azad survived a suicide attack that killed four of his bodyguards. Unconfirmed reports state that since this attack, the Governor for transport used anonymous cars and with civilian-dressed bodyguards. President Karzai has appointed the former minister of Border and Tribal Affairs, Abdul Karim Brahawi, as governor of Nimroz province and relieved Dr. Dastagir Azad from his Governor job. (20100824)
