Qari Burhan is a Taliban Commander from Logar Loghar Province. He along with two of his armed men were arrested in Logar's provincial capital Pul-e-Alam at 1 a.m. local time 20101224, provincial police chief Mustafa Mohsini told Xinhua. He was involved in attacking Afghan and NATO-led troops in Pul-e-Alam, Baraki Barak and Mohammad Agha districts (20101224). Western Intelligence  Agencies or Afghan Secret Service NDS tried to cultivate and to recruit him to work for them. Consequently he was released from captivity.

Now an official who declined to be named said a Taliban commander, Qari Burhan, who is operating in Mohammad Agha and Zarghoonshar areas of Logar province is an American agent. While he was surrounded by Afghan security forces, he was rescued by the Americans and was taken to Bagram base by US choppers (20110621).
