Abdul Baqi is a former jihadi commander and served as a police checkpoint commander in Pira area of Khogyani district until 2010, but currently he has no government job. ISAF forces detained three family members of Abdul Baqi during an overnight raid in Ghazni City, the capital of southern Ghazni province, a security official said on 20110513. The detainees included the brother of Abdul Baqi and his two nephews who were detained during a raid in Bakawal area in the limits of fifth police district. A few months ago, foreign forces detained another brother of Baqi and he is still in prison (20110507).
