Mohammed Hussein Andiwal was the Chief of Police of Helmand 2007 and 2008. He is from Barakzai Tribe and native of Lashkar Gah hailing from the village of Bashran. He previously served as the Chief of Police of Helmand during the PDPA regime and also worked in the political section of the PDPA intelligence in Helmand. He has been targeted for assassination in Gereshk District on August 23, 2007 by anti-government forces, but escaped unharmed.
