3. Biodata
Shakiba Hashimi is the daughter of Said Yakub Shah and was born 1975 in Kandahar Province. Hashimi graduated from Aeno High School in Kandahar in 1988. She has a bachelor’s degree in Science from the Science Faculty of Kabul University. She is an anti Karzai Wolesi Jirga member MNA. Hashimi said she will not be a member of parliament again in the next vote (2010) because Ahmed Wali Karzai, the president's brother, already has chosen her replacement. It said she is a non Hazara Schia.
She is close with USAID. Mullah Mohammad Hanifi, the head of the Islamic council (shura) of Kandahar, has also been threatened because he has asked people not to join the Talibans. “Since 2002, they have killed 23 mullahs who worked for the shura,” he said. He is part of the inner circle of deputy Shakiba Hashimi, who is known for her courageous position-taking. Not only against the Talibans, but also against the failures and corruption of the reigning administration, both national and local.
She is the one who threw a spotlight on the mafia-style activities of Ahmed Wali Karzaï, the brother of the Afghan president, the head of the Kandahar provincial council, who is implicated in drug trafficking and who was paid by ... the CIA. The notables tried to have her expelled from Parliament. They failed. “Since then, they have tried to frighten me,” she explains. “I was told that I would be killed if I came to Kandahar.” Shakiba Hashimi was the deputy of the commission of the Natural Source and Environment of 2005 Wolesi Jirga’s commission.

Mrs. Hashimi has become a staunch critic of Hamid Karzai and his Government. She feels that Karzai has multiple not observed and violated the Afghan Constitution (20110701).
Wolesi Jirga once again witnessed dispute and brawl among lawmakers over cabinet nominees holding dual nationality. The disputes resulted to physical clash between two female lawmakers Shekiba Hashimi and Lailuma Wali Hakimi.(20150124)
She is married and has five children. A daughter was killed at her house by Taliban (2007).
