3. Biodata: Najia Aimaq, the second female winner in Baghlan Province in Wolesi Jirga Election 2010 is also a sitting MP. A Tajik from Dahana-e Ghori, she is known as a supporter of Dr. Abdullah’s opposition movement. Before being voted into Parliament in 2005, she was the head of the Baghlan teacher training institute. She was a member of the Committee on Cultural and Religious affairs in Wolesi Jirga 2005. She belongs to an ethnic minority tribe, the Aimaq tribe. She is close to Jamiat-e Islami.
Aymaq was also a member of the Emergency Loya Jirga, representing Baghlan province.
She is married and has no children. Aymaq speaks Dari. |

Mrs. Ustad Najia Aimaq, daughter of Alhaj Juma Khan, was born 1967 in Pul-i-Khumri District, Baghlan Province. Her family originates from the Dahna Ghori area. Aymaq finished her primary and secondary education at Islam Qala School, Pul-i Khumri in 1984. She received her bachelor’s degree in Literature at the Pedagogical University of Kabul in 1991.
