3.Biodata:
khawasi_abdul_satarSaranwal Abdul Satar Khawasi Sattar was born 1971 in Parwan Province.  Khawasi graduated from Etehad Islami High School in Peshawar in 1992. He received his bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Kabul University in 1997 and his master’s degree from Alazhar University of Egypt, based in Kabul, in 2002.

He was a commander of the northern alliance (HIG)  together with Haji Almas and Seddiq Ahmad Usmani.

It is said, MP Abdul Sattar Khawasi is blocking military operations in Shinwar district. The background to this accusation is that Khawasi belongs to the registered political wing of Hezb-e Islami, and Hezb fighters (of its insurgent wing) are also known to operate in Ghorband.(20120717).

He was one the secretaries (20090727) of Wolesi Jirga (2005). The MP from Parwan, re-tained his previous seat of the First Secretary of Wolesi Jirga (2005) in which he served 2008. Abdul Satar Khawasi (Parwan) was reelected over challenger Darwazi (Badakhshan) by 112 to 84 votes.

MP Abdul Sattar Khawasi was elected as Wolesi Jirga secretary during a third round of the parliamentary administrative board polls on 20120124. Khawasi won 108 votes and his rival Zahir Sadat from Panjshir Province 67.

There are video clips from an anonymous source showing Parwan MP Abdul Sattar Khawasi calling on residents of Ghorband District to launch Jihad against the U.S."Jihad is legitimate against the U.S., and silence against the U.S. is an act in violation of religion, I am obligated to tell you," Khawasi says in part of the video. The footage also shows the MP, a member of the U.S.-backed government in Kabul since joining Parliament in 2004, accusing other government officials of being "collaborators" for working alongside the U.S."Now lets focus on the government officials, these corrupt miscreants have no right to fire on you, I promise revenge," Khawasi said.(20140121)

Abdul Satar Khawasi said the bulk of the Wazghar incident evidence came from two sources: accounts given by villagers, and the photographs and video that were distributed last 20140126 by President Karzai’s office. No commission members he is said to have lead appear to have actually visited Wazghar. Instead Khawasi sent his driver and a bodyguard to conduct the interviews and take photographs and video, according to Abdul Basir Salangi, the provincial governor. But at least two of the images distributed in the dossier could not have shown casualties from the Wazghar strikes, because the photos are more than three years old.(20140126)

Abdul Sattar Khawasi, a Hezb-e Islami member from Parwan and well-known Islamist hardliners, voted in Wolesi Jirga against BSA and SOFA. (20141124)
