3. Biodata:
Khan_MahmoodDr. Mahmud Khan, son of Haji Yar Muhammad Khan, was born in 1980 in Rambasi
village, Dand District, Kandahar province. In 2000, Khan graduated from Kandahar’s Alberuni High School. He has a bachelor’s degree from the Medical Faculty of Kandahar University, which he earned in 2008.

From 2006-2007, Khan worked as a volunteer doctor in the surgical department of Merwais Hospital in Kandahar city and took an official internship there in 2008. From 2009 to May 2010, Khan worked as an advisor with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kandahar. Khan founded and is the current director (2012) of an NGO based in Kandahar working for youth. He established the organization, called the Afghan Youth Educational and Social Consultancy Organization (AYESCO), in 2010.
