Ahmadzai_MirwaisMirwais Ahmadzai is the Lead of the Strategy and Policy Development Unit (SPDU) and a Senior National Advisor for CSMD. He is the son of Jalat Khan. He was born in Mohammadagha district in Logar province in 1973. In 1979 Mirwais immigrated to Peshawar, Pakistan. He completed his primary education in an Afghan refugee school and secondary school from Omar e Sani High School in Peshawar. Next he attended Peshawar Degree College where he received a BA in Advanced English in 1995. He then went on to Preston University (PIMSAT) where he completed his BBA in 2003 as Distance Learning (DL) and his EMBA in Human Resources in 2004. During his college studies, he was teaching English at Challenger English Language and Computer Center. Mr. Ahmadzai was the Head of the Center until 2004. In July 2004 he became a Human Resources Specialist with the Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), where he worked for 18 months. Afterwards he joined the National Assembly (NA) as an Internal Administration Specialist under USAID. Mr. Ahmadzai also worked for the Ministry of Finance (MoF) as an advisor to the minister in the field of reform. In 2007 he supported the MoF as the Reform Implementation Management Unit (RIMU) coordinator under a World Bank project, a position he held for three years. In May 2010 he became the Lead of the Strategy and Policy Development Unit and Senior Advisor for CSMD under a USAID project.
