3. Biodata:
kargar_rangina2Mrs. Rangina Kargar daughter of Sayed Omar, was born in 1984 in Qurona village, Saighan district of Baghlan province (currently related to Bamyan Province). She married into the Kargar family. She completed her primary education at Sitara School in Mazar-e-Sharif and then studied and completed her higher education in the Finance and Money department of Economics College in Balkh University on 2007.Her husband also works in parliament, as a member of the secretariat for the Wolesi Jirga.

She established women gatherings during her education (2003-2007) and also worked as finance in-charge and English teacher of Noor private school. Rangina Kargar lived in Andkhoy and worked as literacy teacher for rural women. She was employed by the Elections Commission in 2009 and she also worked as trainer in CHE organization located in Kabul.

Kargar worked in 2010 for the NGO Coordination of HumanitarianAssistance (CHA). She has been involved in literacy programs for rural women in Andkhoi district and has worked to promote women’s rights.

Rangina Kargar nominated herself to the parliamentary elections in 2010 from Faryab and gained the vote. Now she is a member in 16th term of Parliament of Afghanistan.

She is not a member of any political party. She regards herself as a proponent of the new generation of Afghanistan who believes in democracy, political pluralism, human rights and gender equality. She is a vindicator of transitional justice and wants the amnesty (proponent to war criminals and violators of human rights) to be quashed.
