3. Biodata:
ahmadzai_abdullahAbdullah Ahmadzai was born in 1975 in Qarabagh District of Kabul Province and on 2003 got his BIT degree in information Technology from Pakistan. Ahmadzai; according to decree no. (21), 02 May 2010 of the President of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan appointed as a Chief Electoral Officer - CEO at Independent Election Commission – IEC. He has attended many workshops in India and UAE on governance. President Karzai appointed Abdullah Ahmadzai as new electoral officer (20100504) and Head of the IECs Secretariat. Abdullah Ahmadzai, who worked as the Head of operations for the UN-backed joint election body in the first presidential and parliamentary elections in 2004 and 2005, has been appointed to fill the important position, said Abdul Rahim Nowashtyar, Head of the press office at the IEC.

Afghanistan’s Independent Election Commission (IEC) Secretariat head Abdullah Ahmadzai resigned his post on 20120709 and has sent his resignation letter to President Hamid Karzai. He is frustrated about political influence from the President´s office and other Afghan pressure groups.

He speaks Pashtu, Dari, English and Urdu.
