3.Biodata:
Pir Sayed Ibrahim Gailani, son of Pir Sayed Ali Gailani, was born in 1949 in Share-e Naw, Kabul. He completed his primary education at Massoud Sahed School in Kabul and he graduated in 1968 from Naderia High School. From 1970 to 1972, he studied at the Faculty of Law of Kabul University. In 1977, he received a master's degree in international affairs from New York University. From 1993 to 1996, he worked as an ambassador and special envoy of the Islamic State of Afghanistan in Vienna and as Resident Representative of Afghanistan in the United Nations. During the jihad resistance movement, Gailani served as a military commander in Paktia and Zabul provinces. He was a mediator between Hazara and Pashtun tribes in Zabul, Ghazni and Uruzgan provinces. He has provided invaluable public service. Gailani lived in the United States for 15 years and during the jihad period he lived in Pakistan. He speaks fluent Dari, Pashto and English. He is not affiliated with any political party. He was indirectly elected to the Meshrano Jirga through the Provincial Council elections in Zabul.
