Sultan Masood Dakik graduated from high school in 1984 in his native city of Kabul. As a member of the former Afghan royal family, he had to leave the country in 1984 after the Soviet intervention in Afghanistan . He fled Afghanistan to Pakistan on foot for seven days . After his escape, he came to Germany with his mother and sister in 1984, where he has lived permanently ever since. He completed an apprenticeship as a textile merchant. Later he founded a company for women's outerwear in Düsseldorf , which he sold again after a few years for family reasons in order to be able to take care of his sick mother.
He now runs several companies in the areas of financing and consulting, in the oil business and in the area of "new technologies". He pays particular attention to renewable energy projects and climate protection , especially in Saudi Arabia . In cooperation with the University of Hohenheim ( agricultural science ), he is pursuing the project to establish the multi-use jatropha plant, which also helps to reduce CO2 , on large fallow land . He maintains very good relations with the Saudi royal family.
Sultan Masood Dakik, who has been a German citizen since 1995, lives on the Lower Rhine; he lives in Brünen / Hamminkeln .
