3.Biodata
farhadi_rawanDr. Abdul Ghafoor Rawan Ravan Farhadi, son of Abdul Baqi, was born on 23rd August 1929 in Kabul city. He served as the Permanent Representative of the Afghan Government to the United Nations. Affiliated to the Northern Alliance.
 Dr. Ravan Farhadi began his professional career as a . Dr. Farhâdi received his bachelor's degree from the Istiqlal College, Kabul, in 1948. He also holds diplomas from the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris, Department of International Relations (1952), and from the Institut des Hautes Études Internationales, University of Paris (1955). He studied Indo-Iranian philology at the École Practique des Hautes Études of the University of Paris, and received a doctorate from that institution in 1955.

 Since 1993, Dr. Farhâdi has served as Vice Chairman of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People at United Nations Headquarters in New York.

Ravan Farhadi is the uncle of Adib Farhadi who's academic credentials were found dubious. While Ravan Farhadi was the Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the United Nations Adib Farhadi was serving in his uncle's Embassy the embassy has confirmed and sealed some of Adib Farhadi's educational documents of Afghan origin.

Farhadi is married and has three children. They live in California and have taken American citizenship. The Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) in 2006 replaced Dr. Farhadi by Dr. Zaher Tanin. Farhadi has full command in different languages such as Pashto, Farsi, Arabic, French, English, Spanish, Turkish and Urdu as well as Bengali and he has translated so many books from Arabic into Dari language such as Manazil-u-Saireen, Sorud-u-Niyayesh and Sar Guzasht Peer-e-Herat.
