    The corps is named after the Battle of Al-Badr, which is the name of the first battle fought by Muhammad, the founder of Islam.

    Technical team of "Abu Dujana Brigade" of the 205 Al Badr Corps of Afghan army. Abu Dujana Brigade is named after Humam Al-Balawi aka Abu Dujana Al-Khurasani, an Al-Qaeda suicide bomber responsible for killing several American intelligence officials in a December 2009 attack on the CIA base in Khost province, Afghanistan.(20230421)


    A graduation ceremony was held for 50 Mujahideen from the 3rd Frontier Special Ninja Brigade of 205 Al Badr Corps. They undertook a month of professional and military training in driving armored and non-armored vehicles. They are already experienced in hand to hand combat.(20230418)

Background:
205th Corps is based in Kandahar. The Corps has the responsibility for the provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, Nimruz and Oruzgan Uruzgan. It consists of four brigades, a commando battalion and three garrisons. The Corps has integrated artillery and air lift capacity, supplied by a growing Kandahar Wing of the ANAAC.
