Sami Mahdi Samiullah Mahdi was born 1984 in Afghanistan. Education: Nizami Ganjavi High School (1997 - 2002), BA Law and Political Science, Kabul University (2004 - 2009), MA International Relations, University of Massachusetts Boston (2014 - 2016)
Mahdi took an interest in women’s rights after noticing that his education and career opportunities differed dramatically from those of his own mother, who married at 16 and had eight children.

He was an unsuccessful Wolesi Jirga 2018 election candidate.


He speaks Dari, Pashtu and English
